The string lifter simultaneously marks the exact position of the new bridge. The top piece is serrated to match any string configuration. The violin and cello models are made of indestructible fiber-reinforced plastic lined with soft plastic to protect the varnish. The bass model is made of sturdy, alloyed aluminum with corklined legs.
